Sunday Protest Blogging: Wish I was in Auckland

There was a protest march in support of Louise Nicholas today in Auckland. Hundreds of women marched down Queen Street.

At the end of the march protestors gathered at Aotea Square where a letter from Mrs Nicholas was read.

She apologised for being unable to make it to the march in person but said because of the support from so many New Zealanders she was able to remove her safety net, hold her head high and look ahead to a brighter and safer future.

She said she will treasure the organisers of the march and this day forever.
