Something to go to almost everywhere

Louise Nicholas: My Story, by Louise Nicholas and Phil Kitchen, was released yesterday. I'll try and write a review later in the week, and there's certainly some parts of the book that I want to write about. But in the meantime I thought I'd let people know that she's doing a book tour. I went to the Auckland one last night and it was really good - about 150-200 people despite the last minute publicity. I was really struck by what a genuine person Louise is, and how although the crowd were angry there were still some laughs and people were very focused on how to make things change for the better.

$20 ticket for the lunchtime event at the Intercontinental in Wellington... I can barely afford to buy the book, let alone go to a $20 lunch date...

I'd love to go and meet her, but it's just not feasible as a woman on a very limited budget!
